Our Hiring Filter

The single most important thing we look for.

Healthcare focus. Not generalist IT experience with some healthcare clients sprinkled in. Candidates whose careers are already oriented specifically around medical practice technology. This is our dominant filter because clinical workflow fluency takes years to build and is genuinely our product.

We've tried the other approach — hire strong generalists and train them on healthcare. It doesn't work at scale. The vocabulary is too deep; pattern recognition requires too many real medical environments to develop. We'd rather wait longer to find the right candidate than rapidly fill seats with people whose instincts are generalist.

Healthcare focus. We specifically look for candidates whose careers are already oriented around healthcare technology — not generalist IT professionals who've touched healthcare occasionally. This is our single strongest filter, because clinical workflow vocabulary takes years to build and cannot be rapidly trained.
In specific cases, yes. Entry-level roles in help desk and field service can be filled with strong candidates who show aptitude for healthcare focus. Mid-level and senior roles almost always require direct healthcare IT background. Typically: resume review, 30-minute phone screen, 60-minute technical/scenario interview, meeting with the practice area lead, reference checks, offer. For senior roles, CEO Steve Gerbino or CTO John Dritsas is involved directly. Full process usually takes 2-4 weeks.
Hybrid. Most technical roles involve a combination of remote work, in-office time at the Hackensack HQ, and on-site client support across Northern NJ. Pure remote is uncommon because our work requires physical presence at client sites regularly. For candidates expecting 100% remote, we're probably not the right fit.
